Re Bureau letter to Seattle 8/3/72.

On 8/28/72 [redacted] Asotin, Washington, advised that he was in the Diamond K Bar, Asotin, Washington, on approximately 7/29/72 when a man and women entered the bar and sat at the bar, a couple of seats from him. [redacted] advised that he asked the man his name and the man said it was D.B.COOPER. [redacted] said that he recalled the name in connection with the skyjacking of an airliner and recalled that he had seen a photograph of the individual using the name COOPER and that in his opinion the man in the bar resembled the picture he had seen.

[redacted] described the man as WM with short red-brown hair and a receeding hair line. He was approximately 5'10"-6' tall and between 35-40 years of age.

[redacted] was shown a picture of the composite of COOPER and said that it did not resemble the man he observed in the Diamond K Bar.
