SAC, SEATTLE (164-81) (P) 9/13/72

SA [REDACTED]

NORJAK CO: SEATTLE

---

Those serials pertaining to [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] have been removed from the NORJAK file and have been enclosed into a [REDACTED] for the following reasons:

1. To consolidate NORJAK serials and make the NORJAK file as accurate a reflection of the facts in NORJAK as possible.

2. Remove the burden of following and reporting prosecution of a case which is unrelated to NORJAK from the present case agent.

Note: This is consistent with Bureau requirements to "vigorously pursue this matter" and with the memo of ASAC [REDACTED] dated 7/14/72, in which it was noted that this investigation requires the complete investigative attention of one Agent.

---

3. Will partially prevent confidential information concerning this matter being brought up during the upcoming [REDACTED] trial scheduled for 11/27/72.

Note: If it becomes necessary to prove [REDACTED] is not UNSUB in "open court", careful consider- ation should be given to how this is done so as to prevent providing the real UNSUB with information he may need to continue to avoid prosecution. In addition, the new leads received as a result of any confidential information being made public will obviously make elimination of new suspects more difficult.
