Re SPC [REDACTED] memo 10/15/72.

On 11/14/72, [REDACTED] Auburn, Washington, was shown the artist's composit of unsub. [REDACTED] advised after carefully perusing the composit that the man he saw on 10/14/72 was definitely not identical to the man depicted in the artist's composit.

[REDACTED] described the man he saw as a WMA, 5' 10" tall, 170 pounds, 35-45 years, hair dark brown possibly greying, complexion fair. [REDACTED] stated the man he saw had a fuller face than the composit.

[REDACTED] advised it was his theory that COOPER walked towards the Gifford Pinchot National Forest after parachuting on 11/24/71. [REDACTED] stated he thought COOPER could possibly have hiked to the Pacific Crest Trail which runs from [REDACTED]

[REDACTED] advised after more deliberation that in view of the weather conditions on 11/24/71, and the way unsub was dressed, a trek as described above would have been impossible for unsub.
