Dear Sirs:

Enclosed you will find two (2) pictures. One is a newspaper print of the composite picture of "Dan Cooper" which was printed in the Seattle PI approximately a week ago. The other is of [REDACTED] and at that time [REDACTED]

It is my opinion that [REDACTED] strongly resembles "Dan Cooper", which is why I am sending you his picture and the following information about him:

He was born on [REDACTED] enlisted in the Navy, during which time he served as [REDACTED] For the last several years, he has lived in Indiana. The last I heard, he was living in Chesterton, address unknown. He is a (truck) <driver> by profession. In 1969, the last time I saw him, he was smoking Raleigh filter tip cigarettes. This I can remember for sure because he was giving my [REDACTED] While I cannot conceive him being smart enough to pull off a high-jacking, he is an ex- tremely glib talker. He, in my opinion, has a problem differentiating between truth and lies. When he speaks on any subject matter, no matter how simple, he takes a fragment of truth, elaborates, and comes out with falsehoods. The pic- ture enclosed shows his complexion darker than it actually is. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] I subsequently had [REDACTED] [REDACTED] The State Police, Porter County, Valparazo, did the investigation on the matter. Perhaps they have a set of fingerprints, or a mug shot. He has been known to use on occassion, the alias of [REDACTED]
