RE: [REDACTED]

---

At 11:25 AM today, [REDACTED] General Investigative Division, FBIHQ, telephonically contacted the Seattle Office and furnished the following information:

[REDACTED] stated an unknown representative of FAA, Northwest Region, telephonically contacted FBIHQ and stated that Northwest Flight #78 or #87 originating in Portland, for Honolulu, has a passenger aboard, by the name of [REDACTED] who according to [REDACTED] is a look-alike for D.B. COOPER.

---

[REDACTED] instructed Seattle to immediately determine the facts surrounding this allegation and notify the Bureau appropriately.

I reviewed Northwest Orient flight schedules in effect and determined that Northwest has a flight, namely #78, that originates at Portland at 7:55 AM for Seattle. This flight then becomes #87 from Seattle, non-stop to Honolulu, leaving Seattle at 9:30 AM and arriving at Honolulu at 1:15 PM.

---

The Portland Office should be immediately contacted and a flight manifest obtained. The information contained thereon should be immediately telephonically furnished to Honolulu and Honolulu instructed to immediately locate and identify [REDACTED] to determine what connection if any, he may have with the unsub in this investigation.
