RE: [REDACTED]

For the information of the Anchorage Division, [REDACTED] has been suggested as a suspect in this matter by [REDACTED] (protect) [REDACTED], Washington, [REDACTED] stated [REDACTED] [REDACTED] on the Alaska Pipeline operating out of Valdez, Alaska, [REDACTED] possesses a photograph of [REDACTED] who according to [REDACTED] resembles the artist's composite of UNSUB in this matter. [REDACTED] was sitting at a bar in Valdez having a large number of drinks and was heard mumbling to himself something to the effect that the statute of limitations would be over in a few weeks. This was just before the original statute was to expire in November, 1976. Those nearby started to question him about his remarks and he immediately changed the subject.

[REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] worked for the Boeing Aircraft Corporation and although he had no information on [REDACTED] present age, height, or possibly military background, he did state that [REDACTED] is currently [REDACTED] in Valdez, Alaska. [REDACTED] has requested that [REDACTED] [REDACTED] not be contacted at this time on this matter because in his remarks [REDACTED] said he was reluctant to provide [REDACTED] name to authorities as a possible suspect.
