RE: [REDACTED]

Re Seattle memo of SA [REDACTED] 1/16/78.

On 2/13/78, and again on 3/1/78, contact was attempted with [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Washington, with negative results as he was not available.

On 3/15/78, [REDACTED] supra, provided the following information:

The individual he thinks that is possibly D. B. COOPER is [REDACTED] is described as a white male, 5'8" to 5'9", 165 to 180 pounds, no glasses, and approximately 69 years of age. [REDACTED] smokes filter tipped cigarettes and flies a plane and has no apparent explanation for the money he has. He, [REDACTED] does not know the wherea- bouts of [REDACTED] in 1971 inasmuch as he, [REDACTED] did not live in the area at the time.

Based on the above information provided by [REDACTED] [REDACTED] it is suggested that [REDACTED] no longer be considered a suspect in this matter based primarily on his age and height.
