On March 23, 1978, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Spokane, Washington, was contacted for further information concerning his suspicion regarding [REDACTED] former Spokane lawyer, who, source stated, resembled artist's conception of UNSUB. (Check of all current Spokane area directories failed to reveal any telephone or residential listing for a [REDACTED] identified as an attorney).

---

[REDACTED] stated that he does not know where [REDACTED] but that he used to be in practice in Spokane. He said that [REDACTED] was, at one time, a close acquaintance of Attorney [REDACTED] prominent Spokane lawyer and former [REDACTED] [REDACTED]

On March 23, 1978, [REDACTED] mentioned by [REDACTED] with whom SA [REDACTED] and other present and former personnel of the Spokane Resident Agency is acquainted, was contacted and he advised that [REDACTED] had been a prominent attorney in Spokane, but had a drinking problem and left for awhile; but has recently returned and has offices with attorney [REDACTED] in the Northtown Office Building, Spokane, but has not been back here long enough to be listed in the phone book. [REDACTED] stated he remembers the artist's conception of the Unknown Subject in this case and that, in his opinion, [REDACTED] does not at all resemble the drawing. He has been acquainted with [REDACTED] for years. [REDACTED] at one time, worked as a lawyer for the State Insurance Commissioner and for the Washington State Racing Commission. He has had no severe financial problems to [REDACTED] knowledge and is considered by [REDACTED] as a very competent and ethical attorney, who, in [REDACTED] opinion, certainly has not disappeared for any length of time which could possibly be associated with the subject
