Re: C. B. Cooper
Gentlemen:
[REDACTED] number [REDACTED] telephoned the Pierce County, telephone indicating that [REDACTED] a long-time [REDACTED] in Pierce County Sheriff's Office [REDACTED] ;was just the type of personality that has been de- scribed in the news; also, the [REDACTED] had received paratrooper training.
She does not know the whereabouts of this man, but states that he had [REDACTED] the Seattle Police Department. Also, there is a [REDACTED] who resides somewhere in Grays Harbor who might have knowledge of his location.
We recognize this is extremely slim, but we never thought you would find the money either.
Sincerely,
[signature] LYLE SMITH SHERIFF OF PIERCE COUNTY
