On 3/15/82, [REDACTED] U.S. Forest Service, Bakersfield, California, advised that his records have no reference to anyone by the name of Melvin Cooper having ever been assigned to the U.S. Forest Service in Bakersfield. He noted that this office covers the Sequoia National Forest from Tehachapi to Fresno, California. He advised that the name is completely unfamiliar with him even as a possible sound alike employee of the U.S. Forest Service.

[REDACTED] also advised that he cannot recall any helicopter crash within the past 5 years within this area.
