[REDACTED] recently related the following story to the unknown male:
[REDACTED] has recently become concerned about his health and believes that he is dying. Because of this belief, [REDACTED] has been providing family members with information he apparently wants them to know prior to his death.
[REDACTED] recently called [REDACTED] to his home and showed her a key to a safe deposit box in New York. [REDACTED] told [REDACTED] not to be afraid and to remember to take the key when he is gone.
[REDACTED] asked [REDACTED] why he told her not to be afraid. [REDACTED] then told [REDACTED] that he is D.B. Cooper. He went on to explain that when he is gone, the key to the safe deposit box would be the key to her future. [REDACTED] did not know who D.B. Cooper was.
[REDACTED] then talked with [REDACTED] regarding this conversation and was laughing at [REDACTED] because of his concerns that he is dying. [REDACTED] explained to [REDACTED] that she doesn't believe that [REDACTED] is dying and thinks he is losing his mind. [REDACTED] asked [REDACTED] about [REDACTED] assertions that he is D.B. Cooper. [REDACTED] told [REDACTED] simply that [REDACTED] is not losing his mind.
[REDACTED] noted that the family was always somewhat poor, but suddenly there seems to be money all over the place.
When [REDACTED] related this story to the unknown male, she still did not appear to know who D.B. Cooper was.
Phoenix is requested to further identify [REDACTED] and provide those results to Seattle. No contact should be made with [REDACTED] unless specifically requested by Seattle.
