Black-and-white photograph of a mock 'grave' made from an odd-shaped piece of driftwood, with handmade signs. One sign reads 'D.B. COOPER DIED NOV 22 1971 FROM A FREE FALL' and a smaller sign reads 'HE IS NOT IN THE LAKE'. The scene appears to be outdoors with natural debris and driftwood arranged as a makeshift memorial. Newspaper caption describing a joke grave marker created for D.B. Cooper near Amboy, noting that the sign's date of Nov. 22 is incorrect and that Cooper has been missing since Nov. 24, 1971.
