OPTIONAL FORM NO. 10 MAY 1962 EDITION GSA FPMR (41 CFR) 101-11.6 UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Memorandum

TO : SAC, LOS ANGELES (164-497) DATE: 4/25/72

FROM : SA [REDACTED]

SUBJECT: NORJAK

---

At about 8:05 p.m., 4/22/72, ASAC [REDACTED] Seattle Office, telephonically advised the writer of the following:

[REDACTED] received a call from SA [REDACTED] at about 6:00 p.m., 4/22/72. SA [REDACTED] mentioned the son of [REDACTED] and said father was in New York City and would not be back until Wednesday, 4/26/72.

[REDACTED] called the Bureau and was advised by Assistant Director CHARLES W. BATES that contacting [REDACTED] to locate [REDACTED] suggested Los Angeles send a teletype to the Bureau with copies for New York and Seattle which would summarize the interviews of [REDACTED] and set forth recommendation for the interview of [REDACTED] in New York. The purpose of this would be to determine the identity of the person he interviewed in Seattle, together with details of the interview.

[REDACTED] stated he is preparing a teletype setting forth the reasons why Seattle believes [REDACTED] is identical with [REDACTED]

At approximately 9:00 p.m., 4/22/72, SA [REDACTED] was advised of the above.
