PRESS RELEASE

---

DONALD W. NYROP, President, Northwest Orient Airlines, Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota, has authorized a finders fee of twentyfive thousand dollars total reward, or fifteen percent [guess: for] any portion of the D. B. COOPER ransome money that is returned.

---

A man identifying himself as COOPER extorted two hundreds thousand dollars from Northwest Orient Airlines on November 24, 1971, while on a flight from Portland to Seattle. He parachuted into an area east of Woodland, Washington with the ransom money and it is possible the money, which is comprised of ten thousand, twenty dollar bills, is still in a wooded area in southern Washington.

---

The ransome money is marked and all the bills can be identified. Mr. NYROP stated on October 5, 1972, in Minneapolis, that he would not hesitate to authorize a finders fee of twentyfive thousand dollars total reward or fifteen percent for any portion of the ransome money that is returned.
