[REDACTED], King News Service, telephonically
contacted writer and advised she had received a telephone
call from an unknown female who advised she had some infor-
mation pertaining to the D. B. COOPER case and she did
not want to contact the FBI for fear her phone would be
tapped. The woman then stated to [REDACTED] she had some
friends who have told her about a friend of theirs who has
a great deal of money, no visible means of support and
carries a rifle, who claims to either be D. B. COOPER or
to know where COOPER's money is buried. [REDACTED] went on to
say this woman has called KING before and although she
sounds a little "cooky" she has occasionally furnished
good information. She stated the woman did not want to
contact the FBI directly but wanted the name of an Agent
to contact concerning the COOPER case.
---
SA [REDACTED] advised [REDACTED] that SA [REDACTED]
would be the Agent to contact. [REDACTED] then stated the
woman planned to call her back tomorrow and she would at
that time advise the woman to contact SA [REDACTED] of the
FBI directly.
