Reference San Diego airtel to Seattle, dated 5/2/89.

Enclosed for Seattle are the following:

1. Original notes and FD-302 for [REDACTED], dated 7/21/89.

2. Original investigative insert for [REDACTED], dated 7/20/89.

On 7/12/89 at approximately 8:50 am, [REDACTED], telephonically contacted the San Diego Office of the FBI and advised that he had recently seen a national television news broadcast detailing the arrest of a possible suspect for the D.B. COOPER hijacking. [REDACTED] advised that during the broadcast a sketch of D.B. COOPER was displayed along with a photograph of the arrestee. After viewing both, [REDACTED] recalled an individual [REDACTED] first name unknown (FNU) [REDACTED] was subsequently interviewed and unable to provide adequate information to locate the specific military record of FNU [REDACTED] at the Military Records Center Resident Agency, St. Louis Division. Telephonic contact with the Military Records Center Resident Agency determined that there are at least 300 individuals with the last name [REDACTED]. Further investigation of this lead is being left to the discretion of Office of Origin.

This matter is considered RUC'd in San Diego.
