RE: CRASH HELMET NEAR MUD MOUNTAIN DAM

---

On November 14, 1972, [REDACTED] advised that he received a telephone call from a man who identified himself only as [REDACTED] a hunter who stated that he had just returned from a camping trip in the area of Red Creek east of Chehalis, Washington, and that just below the Mud Mountain Dam, he saw on a junk heap a crash helmet such as used by motorcyclists or possibly parachutists.

---

[REDACTED] said the caller gave no further information as to the location of the helmet or why he furnished the information, but [REDACTED] thought it might possibly per- tain to the captioned matter; and, therefore, he furnished it to this office.
