On 12-6-71, [REDACTED] who said he lives at [REDACTED], Oregon, [REDACTED] called this of- fice and said he knew a man who is a "dead-ringer" of the picture of the hijacker in this case, and that he feels certain this man was involved. [REDACTED], who said his actual address is [REDACTED], tel- [REDACTED], identified the man as [REDACTED].

[REDACTED] described [REDACTED] as about 6'1"-1½" tall, 175 pounds and [REDACTED]. He had difficulty in ex- plaining anything else that made him suspect [REDACTED], but kept asking that an Agent be sent to contact him, and he would explain everything then. He commented that he suspected that [REDACTED] might have [REDACTED], but he seemed to have little to base that state- ment on.

[REDACTED] said further that he did not know [REDACTED] present address, but that he had the telephone number of [REDACTED]. He gave the number as [REDACTED]. He did not know [REDACTED] address, but for some reason, which he did not explain, he had her telephone number. It might be noted that the current Portland telephone directory lists [REDACTED] at [REDACTED], Portland, and with the above number, [REDACTED].

Portland indices are negative concerning [REDACTED]. [REDACTED]. There are a number of [REDACTED] in the indices, but none identifiable with above individual. It might be noted that [REDACTED] - on a [REDACTED].
