Re Seattle telephone call to Portland 12/1/71 and ASAC telephone call to Medford RA 12/1/71.

On 12/1/71 [REDACTED], Pacific Northwest Bell, Grants Pass, Oregon advised that telephone number 503- 476-5126 is subscribed to by LLOYD E. WHITEHEAD, 515 N. E. 8th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon.

Mr. WHITEHEAD is well known to the Grants Pass PD and Josephine County S.O. as a "NUT". He is a very elderly man who calls the PD and SO frequently offering his assistance in locating fugitives, particularly if there has been a great deal of publicity. WHITEHEAD purposes to locate these fugitives through the use of a divining rod and a map.

In view of the above contact of Mr. WHITEHEAD does not seem warranted.
