Mrs. ELNORA ALLEN, 500 Milburn St., Lake Oswego, Ore., tel. 636-7938, called the office on 12-18-71 and said that she and her husband observed a man in the Beachcomber supper club in Lake Oswego on the night of Saturday, 12-17-71, who resembled the sketch of the hi- jacker.

Mrs. ALLEN said she and her husband were sitting at the bar and fell into conversation with the man about 9:00 to 9:30 pm. Eventually the conversation got around to a discussion of the hijacking involved in this matter and the man seemed to think the hijacker would almost have frozen. When Mrs. ALLEN asked what made him think so, he said he was familiar with the area where the man supposedly jumped. When Mrs. ALLEN became more pointed in her questions, the man suddenly finished his drink and left.

Mrs. ALLEN then asked [REDACTED] a man by the name of [REDACTED] (ph) who the man was; [REDACTED] said he was [REDACTED] and that he had been in the Beach- comber once or twice before. [REDACTED] had gotten his name from [REDACTED]

Mrs. ALLEN described him as white, about [REDACTED], 5'8", 130-135, slight build, dark receding hair, no glasses, dressed in dark suit, shirt and tie. She said that his eyes were particularly noticeable as being the same as those of the man in the sketch. At one point, when Mrs. ALLEN asked the man where he lived, he said across the river and did not explain further. Mrs. ALLEN noted that this might put him in the Oregon City vicinity.
