Dear Mrs. Mattson:
Sire your letter as of Dec. 8, 1972 in front of me, you asked I write to let you know where (phone) you could reach me in the evenings. I gave the information I had to a Lt. [REDACTED] of the State Police, that is information I had at that time, since then I've learned more of D.B. Cooper (if the man I know is him. I just tried to get you collect and was told forget it. In sending you the information I've got now and hope to hear from you by and not have to wait as I did before. Please answer by the Feb 28, 1973 date. [REDACTED] years ago a man [REDACTED] in Coquille for a short time, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] lived in a house on [REDACTED] from [REDACTED] I understand they moved to northern Washington and [guess: put] [REDACTED] (I can't recall the spelling of the middle name) [REDACTED] Coos County. It seems strange to me if the State Police didn't investigate my story if they didn't or your receptionist not taking my collect call. Also I want a man from [REDACTED] to contact me. this week. I was told to call Coos Bay but [guess: someone] Mr. Elliot and don't want to hear him again say forget it. In keeping a copy of this letter for reference Sincerely Andrew Brenen
