(I started this letter to you on nov. 26, 1977 and did not finish it. I have lost the article I was going to send you. but inclosing another one.
---
he answered "hello" [REDACTED] He never looked me in the eye, but down to the floor as he was walking. He walked about five feet to my left from where I was [REDACTED] with his back to me. He stood there and I saw he was acting very nervous. On his left, where he was standing, is an open stairway, going up stairs [REDACTED] (However he wouldn't know that). He repeated to look up the stairs and the front door. I was watching him from his back, and after about five minutes or so, I was wondering what was on his mind, if he was thinking of going up stairs to get away from someone, as he kept looking towards the front & then up the stairs again. About that time I got nervous my self and was going to find out just what he had on his mind. I went to his right side &
[REDACTED]
that time he never moved an inch. He looked at me then and [guess: said] in a very low tone voice, [REDACTED] then suddenly, again in very low tone voice, he said [REDACTED] He thanked me very politely. But he still stood there. I could see there was some thing very strange, he looked very, very, scared. His face showed it.

I had [REDACTED] when he came in.
---
As I finished & turned [REDACTED] The tallest of These Two men were right [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] near the the Two was holding [REDACTED] while I still had my back to [REDACTED] so he took the [REDACTED] I walked in back of them them [REDACTED] All the while I was still trying to figure to get to [REDACTED] Still never moved. I asked out this man at These Two men [REDACTED] that it was [REDACTED] Then the shorter man picked up some thing & asked that. (I do not remember now what it was) But I do remember telling him, [REDACTED] I had it figured these Two Any way it too was [REDACTED] some thing like it. Be- men were stalling for time or some thing like it. Be- cause they asked me again again I told them it was [REDACTED]
---
About that time this man at [REDACTED] slowly walked Towards the door in a different aisle. Doing so squeezed behind a couple who was [REDACTED] [REDACTED] His coat brushed against some thing & it knock it off of a table & it fell. All the while I

was watching him. He turned around & picked it up & gently placed it back on the table, then slowly went out [REDACTED]
---
Then these two men said, or one of them said, and it was the tallest man, who said, [REDACTED] however I did noticed that these two men were sorta looking sideways at the man at [REDACTED] like they didn't want me to notice they were half way looking his way. I felt there was a connection some how.
---
After every one left [REDACTED] I was still rather shook up about this man at [REDACTED] Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, that this man at [REDACTED] looked like a Composite picture I saw of D.B. Cooper either on T.V. or in the newspaper, or both at that time. I do remember, however reading at that time, that one article said he was wearing a dark rain coat, and another article said he (D.B. Cooper) was in a light rain coat.
---
The man at [REDACTED] had a rather sallow type complexion. broad shoulders, [REDACTED] straight hair, about [REDACTED] or so. [guess: It] had either black or real dark blue rain coat on. I do not recall now, but seems to me he had dark glasses on when [REDACTED] And yet I remember looking at his eyes [REDACTED] [REDACTED] & they were [REDACTED] eyes. He may have removed his glasses, when he was [REDACTED]

I am not very good at people's ages, Could be any where from 42 - 50 years old. He was heavy set for his height, maybe around 180 lbs or more. He was very neat looking, I do beleave he had on a tie. Had dark or black oxfords on.
---
The two men were both tall, very hansome or good looking. [REDACTED] suits that showed they were used for [REDACTED] At first I thought they [REDACTED] men. They wore [REDACTED] would ware. I am not sure now, but seems like [REDACTED] the suits [REDACTED] The Color Could be more like [REDACTED] Hard to say, but it was not a real [REDACTED] the Coat was a [REDACTED] the waist line, if I Remember Correctly. Also dont know if it was a zipper jacket or buttons. The tallers man seemed more [guess: talkative] then the shorter one. But both were tall men. Six foot more or little less. Perhaps in their [REDACTED]

I had [REDACTED] yet, after these three men left. I was sorry I didn't go out to check on what type of Car they were driving if they were driving. I had never seen these men before, nor since. none of these men went about or around [REDACTED] [REDACTED] It certainly seemed to me these 2 men were trailing the older man.

I repeat, that I am sorry I didn't make a note of the day I called & the detectives came over, when I told them, what I have written here. It could of been in late Dec. of 1971 or Jan. of 1972. That is why I wrote if you contact our local detectives and see if they have the notes they took from me on their records yet. I often wondered if they ever contacted your office. They told me that they thought that it was just a coincidence. I feel that they didn't think there was any connections with, that, it was D.B. Cooper. Over the years, I keep thinking its possible that they were here.
---
[REDACTED] have taken any time away from [REDACTED] about the time I mentioned above. You could use lie detector test on [REDACTED] that time. Also give a lie leave from [REDACTED] detector test to D.B. Cooper Could of Especially if some of the parachutes were no good.
---
I have no more to add, hoping you will forgive me for so much detail. I felt it was necessary that I did. This has been on my mind for many years now. Now that I have written I feel better about it. It could be a lead. Who knows? Hope to hear from you in the future.
