A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

memorandum

TO: F.B.I. Seattle, Wash. FROM: [REDACTED b6/b7C] SUBJECT: Poss. susp. D.B. Cooper DATE: 1-27-72 Re: Airline robbery by parachuting, 11-24-71

On 10/6/71 [REDACTED]

On 11/24/71 he was known to be in the Reno area and during the week of Nov. 30th met with [REDACTED] at the Stateline on hiway 50 to discuss [REDACTED] states he abruptly quit his job as [REDACTED] on 10/5/71 but has plenty of money. I intended sending this information before this but, your APB descrip- tion did not seem to fit this subjects hairline and until seeing a composit recently and noticing a similarity, I had dismissed the idea. [REDACTED] accord- ing to [REDACTED] no longer has the mustache. This possibility is only a long shot but, the photo should be sufficient to either eliminate him or consider him a possibility. We only hold a misd- emeanor warrant for him and he has no other criminal record.
