[REDACTED], San Jose, California, telephone number [REDACTED] was interviewed:

[REDACTED] advised that he had been an acquaintance of JASON THOMAS LANGSETH for many years, both in San Jose and in the Los Angeles, California area. He stated that on several occasions, he had assisted LANGSETH and had loaned him money in the past.

He stated that only after it was clear to him that LANGSETH was not going to repay him money for which he had previously provided, did he make an effort to retrieve his funds through the Bankruptcy Courts and is making this infor- mation available to the FBI.

He stated that in his own mind, he is certain that LANGSETH is in fact the individual known to the FBI as D.B. COOPER.

He stated that he and LANGSETH had discussed this matter on many occasions and LANGSETH advised him that the amount taken in this hijacking was $204,000. He further advised during conversations with LANGSETH in the past, he indicated that his goal in life was to commit the perfect crime, one in which the statute would toll, and then he would spend the money and be free.

He stated that prior to the hijacking incident, LANGSETH took skydiving training, to include a considerable amount of night skydiving. He stated during one training mission, LANGSETH hit a a tree at night and knocked his teeth out requiring a considerable amount of denture work.

[REDACTED] stated that he temporarily lost contact with LANGSETH and learned that in about June, 1973 he (LANGSETH) went to Canada. He stated LANGSETH re-appeared in 1975, looking emaciated. He stated that it was very difficult to recognize LANGSETH from the time he left for Canada and when he returned.

He stated that he had also learned that LANGSETH has some savings connection or affiliation with the Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Canada, and that he had been receiving monthly or by-weekly stipends from the Toronto Dominion Bank. He stated that if calculated, the checks received by LANGSETH from the Toronto Dominion Bank would amount to approximately 5 per cent of $200,000 or the interest, which would be drawing on a large sum of money at the Toronto Dominion Bank.

---

[REDACTED] stated that a comparison of the composite photograph made available by the FBI and LANGSETH is practically identical. He stated that LANGSETH today does not appear similar to the composite because of his drastic physical appearance change upon his return from Canada, but that he [REDACTED] has photographs of LANGSETH prior to his travels to Canada in which a comparison would readily show a very strong resemblance to D.B. COOPER.

---

[REDACTED] stated that LANGSETH currently resides at 3510 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose, California, and is employed by the Farmers Insurance Corporation, San Jose, California.
