RE: CLAIR YOUNG, #448.

Investigation at Portland failed to locate [REDACTED] [REDACTED] reported former partner of [REDACTED] The address [REDACTED] is now occupied by a mobile homes sales lot.

Investigation at Gladstone, Oregon, located [REDACTED] [REDACTED] who is [REDACTED] [REDACTED] She was interviewed by SA RALPH P. HIMMELS- BACH on 9/1/72, and advised [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and is still under supervision. He operates [REDACTED] CLAIR YOUNG, operates two restaurants, the Atomic Lanes, Richland, Washington, and the Tradewinds, Walula Junction, Pasco, Washington. [REDACTED] described CLAIR YOUNG as WMA, 55 years, 5'8", 140 lbs., wiry, thin build, white hair.

Although [REDACTED] was not advised of the source of the lead in this matter, she stated she feels JACK HUBBELL, now in Leavenworth Penitentiary for the same Seattle bank robbery for which [REDACTED], is behind it, inasmuch as he has been trying to cause trouble for [REDACTED] [REDACTED] She said she is reasonably sure, although not positive, that [REDACTED] spent the November, 1971, Thanksgiving holiday at Richland with CLAIR YOUNG.

In view of the above, no further investigation pur- suant to this lead will be conducted by Portland, and any leads for Richland and Pasco, Washington, are being left to the discretion of Seattle.
