RE: CLAIR YOUNG, #448.
---
Investigation at Portland failed to locate [REDACTED] reported former partner of [REDACTED]. The address [REDACTED] is now occupied by a mobile homes sales lot.
Investigation at Gladstone, Oregon, located [REDACTED] who is [REDACTED]. She was interviewed by SA RALPH P. HIMMELSBACH on 9/1/72, and advised [REDACTED] and is still under supervision.
CLAIR YOUNG, operates two restaurants, the Atomic Lanes, Richland, Washington, and the Tradewinds, Walula Junction, Pasco, Washington. [REDACTED] described CLAIR YOUNG as WMA, 55 years, 5'8", 140 lbs., wiry, thin build, white hair.
Although [REDACTED] was not advised of the source of the lead in this matter, she stated she feels JACK HUBBELL, now in Leavenworth Penitentiary for the same Seattle bank robbery for which [REDACTED], is behind it, inasmuch as he has been trying to cause trouble for [REDACTED]. She said she is reasonably sure, although not positive, that [REDACTED] spent the November, 1971, Thanksgiving holiday at Richland with CLAIR YOUNG.
---
In view of the above, no further investigation pursuant to this lead will be conducted by Portland, and any leads for Richland and Pasco, Washington, are being left to the discretion of Seattle.
