Dear Sirs:

On 8-19-72 while hiking alone in the hills [REDACTED] [REDACTED] in southern washington, I stumbled on a white male, about [REDACTED], 5'8" and about 180 lbs. He was neet appearing, carying a pack and armed. A very brief conversation pluss additional observations made it clear he had been living in the mountains in excess of [REDACTED]. In mentioning the meeting to friends someone suggested he might be the lost skyjacker that was never found. If he is he should be brought to justice, but if it is just some character who wants to get out of the rat race I think he should be left alone. If you need additional information contact me on extension [REDACTED]. Sincerely,

[REDACTED]
