RE: DALE B. METCALF SUB 457

Re Seattle airtel to Sacramento dated 9/1/72, 4-8/- [guess: 10]

Enclosed for Seattle is a California DMV drivers license with photograph of suspect DALE B. METCALF.

[REDACTED] telephonically advised on 9/8/72 that he has not seen nor heard from suspect DALE B. METCALF since approximately 1968. At that time, he had heard that METCALF was practicing law in the North Beach area of San Francisco and was defending people suspected of narco- tics violations. [REDACTED] stated that he had discussed the possibility of METCALF being the hijacker with friends when he was on a fishing trip in June of 1972. He stated that he had no knowledge that METCALF actually engaged in this crime, but because of his attitude and the type of person that he is, would not put such an adventure past him. [REDACTED] said that he had no knowledge of military training as to parachute jumping or pilot training on the part of METCALF. [REDACTED] described METCALF as:

Height 5'10" or 5'11" Weight 190
