Referenced airtel set forth a lead at Fresno, California, to interview [REDACTED b6/b7C] of DALE B. METCALF.
On 9/8/72, [REDACTED] Fresno Guaranty Building, Fulton Mall at Fresno Street, Fresno, California, advised SA [REDACTED] as follows:
He last saw METCALF in San Francisco, California approximately two years ago. They had dinner and a few drinks together. He has not seen or heard from METCALF since that time. METCALF was from Pendleton, Oregon, where he was an outstanding athlete. METCALF had an athletic scholarship, but he did not do well in college sports. METCALF spent six months in the U. S. Marine Corps, but he does not know of any parachute training taken by METCALF.

METCALF is a very intelligent fellow, and he is just crazy enough to have pulled a hijacking. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] still lives in the San Francisco Bay area to the best of his knowledge.
METCALF tended to be overweight, and he always worked out regularly. He was something of a health fanatic. METCALF would drink, but he never knew METCALF to smoke, and he does not believe METCALF would have taken up the smoking habit.
In the event he should see METCALF or hear of METCALF's current whereabouts, he will contact the local FBI office immediately.
