---

Reairtel from Portland to Seattle 2/15/73.

[REDACTED] Jesuit High School, 9000 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, Beaverton, Oregon advised SA E. WILLIAM TRAINOR as follows on 2/20/73:

---

[REDACTED] Portland, Oregon [REDACTED] Lakeview or Lakeside Motel in Woodland, Washington, approximately ten miles north of Vancouver, Washington. [REDACTED] Semaphore Cafe 1639 S.E. Holgate, Portland phone 235-9896. They want their names kept confidential and prefer not to be contacted in this matter.

[REDACTED] About ten months ago [REDACTED] advised [REDACTED] as follows:

About a month or two after NORJAK [REDACTED] [REDACTED] motel, name not mentioned or forgotten, made state- ments as follows:

About a week prior to Thanksgiving, 1971, a man not described and means of transportation not mentioned, but who resembled the composite drawing of D.B. COOPER, registered at the motel saying he would be in and out and instructing that his room was not to be disturbed and not to be rented to any- one else. He departed the motel on or about Thanksgiving Day and returned during the night of Thanksgiving. He then stayed at the motel a few more days and checked out. He was [guess: not] not seen since that time.

[REDACTED] did not know the name used by the man and nothing additional of a suspicious nature was mentioned. She did not report the matter to the F.B.I. because she did not want to become involved and thought it had been so reported because a newspaper man believed to be from Los Angeles had stayed at the motel shortly after the hijacking and had made some inquiries.

Recently, however, [REDACTED] mentioned she did not think it had been reported to the F.B.I.

The motel is supposed to be situated on the lake at Woodland, Portland indices negative re [REDACTED] and the motel.

[REDACTED] stated the names of [REDACTED] of the motel are known to [REDACTED]. He said the [REDACTED] now reside at an unknown place in Alaska and that this address should also be known to [REDACTED] neighbors or post office.

LEAD:
