For the information of receiving offices, on 12/9/74, [redacted], Lakewood, Colorado, telephone [redacted] appeared at the Denver Office of the FBI and advised that while vacationing with [redacted] in Gwayma, Mexico, during the middle of November, 1974, he met an individual by the name of DICK WELLER whom he described as a WMA, 5'8½", 155 pounds, black hair, olive complexion, and approximately 40 years of age. [redacted] said that in talking with this individual he learned that WELLER worked at the South Store, Diamond Lake, Oregon, during the summer and that during the winter he lived in a trailer with [redacted] at the Marina adjacent to St. Carlos Bay, Mexico.

[redacted] stated that after returning to Denver he was looking at a magazine which had an article regarding D. B. COOPER which also displayed the artist's conception and stated that the artist's conception appeared to be identical to WELLER. [redacted] was shown the artist's conception maintained in the Denver file and stated that this photograph was "a spitting image of WELLER".
