[redacted], Lakewood, Colorado, telephone [redacted], appeared at the Denver Office of the FBI where he advised that he desired to talk about D. B. COOPER.

[redacted] explained that he had recently read an article which had an artist's conception of D. B. COOPER in a magazine. [redacted] stated that during the middle part of November, 1974, he and [redacted] went on vacation in Gwayma, Mexico, which is located approximately ten miles from St. Carlos Bay, Mexico. While he was there he met an individual by the name of DICK WELLER whom [redacted] described as a White male American, age 40 - 45, 5'8½", 155 pounds, with black hair and olive complexion. [redacted] explained that WELLER sold a certain type of fishing lure which [redacted] wanted to purchase. During his conversation with WELLER, WELLER told [redacted] that he worked at the South Store, Diamond Lake, Oregon, during the summer months and that he vacationed in Mexico during the winter months. He said WELLER further told him that he had been going to Mexico for the past four to five years with [redacted] said he only saw once and could not describe. [redacted] said that WELLER was living in a trailer in the Marina adjacent to St. Carlos Bay, Mexico. He noted that WELLER had a 14 foot aluminum boat with nine horsepower motor, either a ½ or 3/4 ton truck with a low profile camper, and a 21 foot air stream house trailer.

[redacted] was displayed an artist's conception of D. B. COOPER and stated that the artist's conception was a "spitting image of the individual known to him as DICK WELLER".
