The following investigation was conducted by SA BRUCE A. WICK at Garnett, Kansas:
On September 10, 1876, Sheriff WILLIAM GADLEMAN Anderson County Sheriff's Office, advised that the small community of Parker, Kansas, lies in Linn County, which is adjacent to Anderson County, which is GADLEMAN's area of responsibility. GADLEMAN advised that he is quite familiar and has been for a long period of time with the occupants of that small community. GADLEMAN advised that to his knowledge no person named RICHARD O. COOPER has ever lived in or around the Parker, Kansas community. GADLEMAN advised further that Parker is comprised of approximately 50 persons and over the past twentyfive years he has known nearly every person on sight who has ever lived in Parker, Kansas.

AT MOUND CITY, KANSAS
On September 10, 1976, Sheriff ROY T. (JIM) MIZER, Linn County Sheriff's Office (in which county Parker, Kansas, is located) advised that he is a life-time resident of Linn County and has been familiar with virtually every person in the small Parker, Kansas Community over the past twenty years. He advised that no one named RICHARD O. COOPER has ever lived in Parker, Kansas, to his knowledge. MIZER advised it is possible that a person so named could have lived in one of the far lying rural areas around Parker, Kansas for a very short period of time, however, he feels that if COOPER ever did live in Parker or in the Parker rural area, he (MIZER) would have become aware of his presence, had he stayed there very long.
