SUBJECT: NORJAK OO: SEATTLE

RE: BILLY JEWEL SPARKS

SPARKS has been suggested as a suspect because he fits the general description of UNSUB, he was formerly an enlisted man in the United States Air Force and possibly had parachute training, and because in October of 1971, he was arrested for possession of stolen mail and subsequently released on bond. SPARKS was interviewed by [redacted] in late October, 1971, and [redacted] advises that SPARKS had indicated his whole world had collapsed. [redacted] also stated that SPARKS was a very "gutsy" individual who would certainly be capable of a crime such as the NORJAK hijacking.

SPARKS is described as follows:

Name: BILLY JEWEL SPARKS Sex: Male Race: Caucasian DOB: 3/5/32 Height: 6'1" to 6'2" Weight: 175 lbs SSAN: 551-38-4808 Former Address: 1126 Ivy, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701
