Extensive investigation since the incident in November, 1971 has failed to identify or locate the subject.
During January, 1977, [REDACTED] Attorney at Law, San Jose, California, advised that during conduct of [REDACTED] investigation, the name [REDACTED] came to his attention. He advised that he had been close friends with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] indicated on several occasions that he was interested in committing the perfect crime. He further confirmed the information he had concerning banking at Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Canada, and in fact, [REDACTED] had received funds over the years which, if totaled, would have amounted to in excess of $200,000.
---
[REDACTED] stated he was aware of the fact that [REDACTED] had been previously interviewed by the FBI, but he stated that photographs, the fact that [REDACTED] was an expert paratrooper, and had done considerable night diving prior to the hijacking, led him to believe that [REDACTED] was, in fact, identical to the hijacker.
---
It should be noted the [REDACTED] was, in fact, inter- viewed by the FBI, Los Angeles, California, in February, 1972. [REDACTED] at that time was described as a white male, 5'10" to 6'0", 165 pounds, medium build, hair black, eyes blue, born [REDACTED] place of birth [REDACTED] former paratrooper, U.S. Military.
---
Investigation conducted by the FBI and display of photograph to eye-witnesses at the incident could not identify [REDACTED] as being identical to the subject in this matter. It should be noted, however, that investigation to confirm [REDACTED] presence during November, 1971, was unsuccessful.
