Re: Sub. No. 611

[REDACTED] Portland, Oregon, telephone [REDACTED] advised SA RALPH P. HIMMELSBACH on 10/16/73 as follows:

[REDACTED] used to work [REDACTED] of the Lakeside Motel, Woodland, Washington, for [REDACTED] [REDACTED] She, [REDACTED] occasionally helped [REDACTED]

---

During about November, 1971, she [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and she remembers being in one room in which the tenant had left a pile of personal belongings in one corner of the room. She does not have a clear recollection of all of the stuff, but remembered a tan-colored canvas bag which she recalled as being similar to a seaman's sea-bag in size and shape, which she thought to have been round. Her impression was that the pile of stuff would be more likely property of a hitch-hiker than of someone with money. She had no recollection of radios of any kind.

---

She at no time ever saw the man who rented the above room, nor his vehicle. The only reason she remembers anything about it was that later on, someone made a joking remark that maybe the canvas bag had contained money or a parachute.
