Re Memo SA [REDACTED] 6-12-73 b6 b7C

---

Dr. JOHN E. HALVER, Underwood, Washington was personally observed by the writer. He does not in any way resemble the sketches developed in this matter. HALVER is in his mid- fifties, has died dark brown hair, heavy wrinkles and the shape of his face and hair line do not conform with the sketches.

Sheriff BILL CLOSNER was asked about the reason he suggested HALVER and his reply was that " he was the only one around who I could think of who had military experience and seemed to fit the description".

I would not consider HALVER a suspect in this matter unless something more is developed. He is a research chemist and in charges of the Nutrition laboratory located at Underwood, Wash- ington and still associated with the U S Army reserve as he indicated he would be spending two weeks with one of the Army hospitals.
