Re Dallas airtel to Seattle dated 12/22/73.

The following investigation was conducted by SA RONALD K. JANNINGS:

AT FORT WORTH, TEXAS

On 1/10/74, at about 5:18 p.m., an anonymous caller contacted the Fort Worth RA of the FBI at Fort Worth, Texas. This caller asked if COOPER had been caught yet. When asked what he meant, the caller stated that a possible suspect in the highjacking in the northwest where the name COOPER was used might have been RICHARD F. SCHWANDT. The caller stated that SCHWANDT had been a skydiver in Dallas, Texas, about three years ago and had a skydiving certificate number C2260. The caller stated that SCHWANDT is now an expert diver and will have a different number. It will begin with X. The caller advised that SCHWANDT had appeared to him to be the type of individual who would do something like highjack an airplane.

The anonymous caller advised that the FBI should check with the USPA for SCHWANDT'S new number and hung up.
