Attempts were made to contact [REDACTED] and FRED KARFORDT on 1/10/75 and 1/17/75, and it was determined that both men were out of town on business trips and would not be available until late January, 1975.

On 1/28/75, FRED KARFORDT, 1960 North Yellowstone, advised he recalls a former employee by the name of [REDACTED] [REDACTED] as having worked for [REDACTED] and himself at the OK TIRE STORE [REDACTED] on North Yellowstone. He stated that in his opinion the artist's conception of the skyjacker known as DAN COOPER do not, in any way, resemble [REDACTED] except by a wide stretch of the imagination. KARFORDT stated that [REDACTED] resides at [REDACTED] in Firth, Idaho, and was last known to be employed [REDACTED] for the farm equipment dealer who sells International-Harvester equipment at Blackfoot, Idaho, possibly known as the BLACKFOOT EQUIPMENT COMPANY.
