A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

REPORT of the [FBI] LABORATORY

FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION WASHINGTON, D. C. 20535

To: SAC, New York (164-627) Date: October 30, 1972 FBI File No. 164-2111 Re: NORJAK Lab. No. D-721024016 LL

Specimens received 10/20/72

Q52 Envelope postmarked "U.S. POSTAL SERVICE, CA 920 PM 19 SEP 1972," bearing hand printed address "New York Times 229 W. 43rd New York, N.Y."

Q53 First page of two-page hand printed letter beginning [REDACTED - b6/b7C]

Q54 Second page of two-page hand printed letter beginning [REDACTED - b6/b7C]

---

Result of examination:

It was concluded that Q52 through Q54 were prepared by the writer of Q49 through Q51, submitted by Los Angeles with a communication dated 9/25/72.

It could not be determined whether the writer of Q49 through Q54 was involved in the preparation of the other specimens received in this case, because of a lack of com- parable writing and distortion in portions of the material received in this matter.

No watermarks, indented writing, or other features were found on Q52 through Q54 which would be of value in determining the source of these specimens.

The submitted evidence was photographed and will be returned separately.
