On 2/2/72 [REDACTED] advised he received information from an informant that WILLIAM ALLEN JONES should be considered as a suspect in captioned hijack. According to the informant, JONES is a stunt parachute diver at Cornelia Fort Air Park, Nashville, Tennessee, and JONES generally resembles the artist's conception of captioned hijacker which recently appeared in the Nashville newspapers. was displayed an artist's conception of DAN COOPER and advised the artist's conception in no way resembles WILLIAM ALLEN JONES known to him as Bill Jones.

[REDACTED] related that BILL JONES has only had about 10 jumps and JONES is not a good parachutist. [REDACTED] believes that JONES lacks the experience to be responsible for this hijacking and JONES knows nothing about aircraft.

[REDACTED] is of the opinion that the person responsible for captioned hijack was an extremely experienced parachutist and this individual is probably also a pilot. Many years ago when [REDACTED] was in the military stationed on the west coast he did a great deal of parachute jumping. During the time he met a man whose name he cannot recall from Spokane, Washington, or near Spokane, Washington. He recalls that this man was a very experienced jumper; known by parachute clubs up and down the west coast and he fully recalls that this man was an experienced pilot. He described this man as follows:

Race White Sex Male Age Approximately 45 Hair Dark brown Height 6' Build Slender

In 1968 [REDACTED] learned that this man had "cracked up" and was now in a wheel chair. However, he heard that this man was making some "water jumps." [REDACTED] is of the opinion that the artist's conception of DAN COOPER very much resembles this experienced jumper from Spokane, Washington, whose name he cannot recall.

[REDACTED] says he has a number of magazines in his residence and he believes he might be able to find a photograph of this unknown man.
