[REDACTED b6/b7C] Ogden, Utah, telephone number [REDACTED b6/b7C], advised as follows on 1/31/74:

On several occasions he has viewed the composite drawing of the hijacker of instant plane. This drawing resembles in every detail an individual with whom he was previously associated in California. This man's name is RICHARD DRESE. DRESE is a white male in his thirties who was last known to reside with [REDACTED b6/b7C] in LaCrescenta, California. DRESE was formerly in either the Navy or the Coast Guard and was later a mail carrier working out of the Grand Central Station in Glendale, California. He quit the Post Office approximately five years ago and went to work for Prudential Insurance Company at Western and San Fernando Road in Los Angeles. Source has not seen or heard from DRESE for approximately three years.

At the time [REDACTED b6/b7C] was acquainted with DRESE, DRESE was [REDACTED b6/b7C] was always in need of additional funds and his personality was such that he would try almost anything. He was reportedly in the Navy in Alaska and the State of Washington and is acquainted in that area.

[REDACTED b6/b7C] has no reason to connect DRESE with this hijacking other than he appears to be identical with the individual depicted in the composite drawing. DRESE's father and mother did reside in the 1100 block of Sonora Avenue in Glendale, California.
