twenty years in the military service, my contact with him has been very limited. We both attended [REDACTED] family lives he b6 Per BOC in town and has during that period of time. When [REDACTED] retired from the b7C Per BOC military in approximately November of 1970, he came back to [REDACTED] and has been living with his family since that time. I have met his wife, [REDACTED] and they have one child. He was divorced several years ago from his first wife but I do not know the reason why. However, it is my opinion that there was nothing of an unfavorable nature regarding [REDACTED] conduct in this matter and that they were just not compatible.
---
[REDACTED] although he has tried to get some work to help support himself and b6 Per BOC his family, has not been successful because of the present economic b7C Per BOC conditions of our area as well as the lack of jobs at this time.

My husband and I have seen him on two or three social occasions since he has retired and of course, he seems more mature than he did when he was in high school. He is entertaining in telling about his past military experiences and he seems to have progressed to more responsible positions throughout his military career. However, because I have never seen him in a group of strangers, I do not know how he would relate to people he does not know. He is easygoing and never seems to let things bother him. I am sure that he is under some pressure to get a job and help support his family but it does not appear to make him upset to the point of being emotionally unstable. I have never seen him under emergency conditions but he seems to have the general characteristics of being able to handle any situation that arose. I do not have any specific examples to comment regarding his qualifications to occupy a sensitive position in a critical area because my contact with him has not been very extensive in the last twenty years. I do not feel qualified to comment on his capabilities for a real critical position that requires handling emergency situations.
---
I feel that he is a loyal American citizen because he spent twenty years in our military service. He has never-spoken or espoused any controversial or radical causes to my knowledge. Generally, as to his personal character and conduct to my knowledge of it, I would recommend him for any position he applied for including one within our Federal employment structure.
---
I have known [REDACTED] and his family for about twenty to twenty-five years. I took his high school pictures and first probably had contact at that time with [REDACTED] He has been in the Marine Corps for the last twenty years and my contact with him has been very sporadic and intermittent. His family comes in occasionally to buy film and other photographic supplies b6 Per BOC and I think he has been in my shop once or twice since his retirement b7C Per BOC November of 1970.
